Invisalign: How Does It Work?
At your first Invisalign appointment, digital impressions of your teeth will be taken. We will be able to show you projected results for your smile by the end of treatment based on this information. These impressions will be used to fabricate a number of sets of aligners that will gradually straighten your teeth. Every two weeks of your anticipated treatment time, a set will be created. These aligners must be worn for 22 hours per day to keep your teeth straight. By wearing your aligners consistently, your teeth will gradually straighten until the desired results are achieved. When your aligners are finished, a retainer will be made for you to wear.
What Are the Advantages of Invisalign?
- Clear aligners that will not draw attention while straightening.
- Removable aligners that do not interfere with eating or brushing your teeth.
- Aligners without brackets that are less painful and uncomfortable.
- Dental visits are reduced because sets of trays can be sent home in advance, allowing you to see your dentist every 6 weeks on average.
- Quick and effective results.
